Island Bay House – New Residential Build

Orkney Roofing was engaged by Flip Homes to deliver the roofing and cladding package on this architecturally designed home perched above the coastline of Island Bay. Designed by First Light Studio, the home sits in an exposed marine environment, with sweeping views across Cook Strait — demanding a system that could perform as well as it looked.

We installed Dimond Roofing's Veedek profile to the roof and Rib20 profile to the walls, both in Colorsteel Maxam Titania. The material was selected for its sharp modern aesthetic, corrosion resistance, and low-maintenance requirements — making it ideal for the coastal location.

This build demanded precision from start to finish. Every flashing, junction, and termination was executed with extreme care. The result is a striking, architectural façade with clean lines and crisp detailing — a standout finish that elevates the entire project.
