Aoraki Construction engaged Orkney Roofing to re-roof this large commercial storage facility after the original roof and structural elements were destroyed in a severe storm. Given the nature of the facility — housing clients’ personal and commercial possessions — reinstating a weatherproof, secure structure was critical.

To ensure continuity of business and protection of contents, a full scaffold tent was erected. This created unique challenges, especially when manoeuvring and installing 22-metre-long roofing sheets within the confines of the internal tent structure.

We installed 0.55 Dimond ColorCote MagnaFlow LT7 roofing over Thermakraft 407 underlay and Ausmesh support netting. New 300mm Dimond box gutters were fitted, and parapet upstands were sealed with Viking Enviroclad TPO membrane for long-term durability and watertightness.

Despite the scale of the job, our focus on detail never wavered. Straight screw lines, precise flashing work, and clean execution throughout — this roof was finished to the same exacting standard we apply to our smallest residential jobs.
